WP Rocket rule
Serves WP Rocket's cached pages straight from the web server, the way a tuned production server does, so you test the cache you ship.
BunnyStack for WordPress · Free
Work on a copy of any live WordPress site with its images, caching and email handled for you. No gigabytes of uploads to download, no test emails reaching real customers.

Uploads proxy
Bring over the code and the database, and leave the media library where it is. Any image missing locally is fetched from production on the fly, so pages look exactly like the live site.
Set it once in the project's WordPress rules. Only files missing locally come from production.
Add an htpasswd user and password if the live or staging site is behind basic authentication.
Skip the multi-gigabyte uploads download and start working as soon as the database is in.
Behave like production
Server-level WordPress rules you turn on for each project, plus a mail catcher that keeps every test email on your machine.
Serves WP Rocket's cached pages straight from the web server, the way a tuned production server does, so you test the cache you ship.
Serves the .webp copies Imagify creates to browsers that support them, just like on the live site.
WordPress email goes to Mailpit, or to logs/emails/ when Mailpit is off. Every message raises a Windows notification.
Mailpit
Run WooCommerce checkouts, contact forms and password resets against a copy of real customer data. Nothing reaches a real inbox: every email lands in Mailpit, where you can read it in the browser.
Need one site to send real mail? Add this to its wp-config.php:
define( 'BUNNYSTACK_MAIL_PASSTHROUGH', true );

Everyday WordPress work
Pick the WordPress preset and turn on Install it now. BunnyStack downloads WordPress, creates the database and the admin user.
The built-in terminal opens with PHP, Composer and WP-CLI ready to use.
Switch a site's plugins on and off from the Projects page, without logging in to WordPress.
Cloudflare Tunnel gives any site a temporary public URL, copied to your clipboard, for clients or your phone.
Keep an old theme on PHP 7.4 while a new build runs on 8.4, side by side.
Every site gets a trusted https://name.test address, so secure cookies and mixed-content checks behave like production.
Copy a live site
The user guide covers each step in detail.
Put the WordPress folder, without wp-content/uploads, into BunnyStack's www folder and click Sync.
Drop the .sql, .sql.gz or .sql.zip dump on the Databases page. There is no upload size limit.
Update wp-config.php, then run wp search-replace from the terminal to swap the live URL for https://mysite.test.
Enter the production URL in the project's WordPress rules. Images now load from the live site.
No. Turn on the uploads proxy and enter your production URL. Any file missing locally is fetched from the live site, so you only copy the code and the database.
Not by default: every email goes to Mailpit, so nothing reaches real inboxes. To let one site send real mail, add define( 'BUNNYSTACK_MAIL_PASSTHROUGH', true ); to its wp-config.php.
Yes. Turn on the wp-rocket rule to serve WP Rocket's cached pages directly from the web server, and the imagify-webp rule to serve WebP images to browsers that support them.
Install Cloudflare Tunnel from the Tools page, then pick the site under Apps > Share. You get a temporary public URL, copied to your clipboard, that works until you disconnect it.
Yes. Install it from the Tools page and it is on the path in BunnyStack's terminal, together with PHP and Composer.
Free for Windows. No Docker, no WSL, no installer.
